Is ‘Mask Monday’ part of your weekly routine yet? It is? GREAT! So, let’s talk break-outs!! For the past month or so, I’ve been experiencing hormonal breakouts. This has manifested as numerous, painful, pussy spots all along my jaw and cheeks, leaving soooo many blemishes. Light therapy became ‘that girl’ during lock-down, offering everyone spa at home treatment nationwide! I will be showing you some of the new skincare products that have arrived in my studio & of course I will mix it with some of my older products that I love… Enjoy xx

Cleanse:
First step is using the Dull creamy cleanser by Faace. It countains amazing ingredients such as: Kaolin clay, Green tea, turmeric, vitamin C and vitamin E; licorice and kojic acid which brighten and help reduce the appearance of sun damage; citric acid (AHA) provides gentle exfoliation; hyaluronic acid and vegetable glycerin keeps skin moisturised; avocado and safflower seed oils soften and vetiver, neroli and petitgrain which is renowned for reducing the risk of breakouts.
Note: I cleansed using my Revolution Skincare cleansing mitt but also used it to apply my toner in my next step.
Tone:
The Glow Hub Beauty peach & coconut toner essence has fast become a favourite of mine. The radiance boosting toner simply hydrates and nourishes the complexion. Love!
I'm Loving...

Mask:
Firstly, I have to point out that I love combining products from the same brand during my skincare routine, simply because they are formulated to be used together. So this moves us on tot he next step and is it really a Mask Monday if I’m not using a mask? It only felt right to use the MZ Skin anti-pollution mask for this step. The skin instantly appears even, glowing and deeply hydrated. The ongoing antioxidant protection works against damaging effects of pollution and blue light.

Tone/LED Mask:
When using a LED mask, it’s advised to apply a serum to help enhance the treatment, I used the MZ Skin brighten & perfect serum, it is boosted by 10% stabilized Vitamin C which is a natural antioxidant that activates collagen production, protects against premature ageing and reduces the effects of sun damage. The formula also helps control melanin production to guard against hyperpigmentation and age spots.
The MZ Skin LED mask provides the same rejuvenating results as one of Dr Maryam Zamani’s in-office LED treatments. This device has five colored light settings that each promote different benefits for an overall radiant complexion Serum
Red LED light stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, reducing inflammation and signs of aging
Blue LED light minimizes bacteria to balance and clarify blemish-prone skin
Green LED light targets and restores discoloration, including broken capillaries and dark spots
Yellow LED light reduces redness and boosts circulation
White Infrared LED light minimizes inflammation and sensitivity, revealing healthy, clear skin
I went ahead and used the Green LED to combat the pigmentation I have been experiencing which bodes perfectly with the serum. It’s easy to use, not the most comfiest around the eyes and nose. but myself kin definitely was beaming and felt velvet soft!
Moisturise:
This is definitely the icing on the cake! To all the members of the glazed doughnut crew, we’ve packed so much hydration into the skin already. We’ve given it that chic spa treatment, so it should be looking plump and glowing. Next we will be treating the eyes and the face with a moisturiser. For eye cream I am carrying on the Vitamin C treatment by using the Makeup Revolution Skincare Vitamin C eye serum. This eye serum encourages brightening and improved skin texture, as well as helping reduce the look of dark circles and fine lines. I then went on to use the Murad City skin spf 50. This highly effective brown girl friendly formula boasts 100% mineral broad spectrum PA++++ and SPF 50 in a soft peach tint that is suitable for all skin tones.
